TRACKER VERSION 8.1 SETUP INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIRST TIME USE

1. Copy all the unzipped files into the same folder.

2. If you are running Windows, you MUST make a shortcut to run the TRACKER.EXE program
from your desktop. It will NOT run by clicking on the TRACKER.EXE program from
Windows Explorer. Refer to the TRACKER web page below (address is case-sensitve)
   for more information:

   http://www.bigskyspaces.com/w7gj/tracker.htm

3. Run TRACKER (by clicking on the shortcut) and press any key to start the program.

4. Change the CALLSIGN at the top of the input screen to your call, and press "ESC" key
(instead of ENTER). If your callsign is already found in the file "CALL3.TXT",
your grid locator and latitude and longitude will automatically be entered and displayed.
(If your callsign is NOT found, you will have to manually enter your 6 digit locator,
and then press "ESC" to automatically calculated your latitude and longitude).

5. Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to the "YOUR CALLSIGN" field at the bottom of
the screen. Press the "ESC" key to duplicate the callsign and location information from
   the top of the screen.

6. Change any other parameters to those you want to have automatically set each time you
start the program, and then press "F2".

7. You can now go back to the CALLSIGN field at the top of the screen, and either
automatically find a sked station (enter a callsign and press "ESC") or manually enter
the information using the arrow keys.

NOTE: Matches with "Wild Card" callsigns are now supported by entering an "*" in the
CALLSIGN field. For example, if you were simply interested in looking at approximate
moon position in Sweden, you can now enter the callsign "SM*", and hit "ESC". The program
will select the first station in CALL3.TXT that matches the CALLSIGN letters you
entered to the left of the "*".

8. Additional HELP on using TRACKER is available by pressing "F3".

9. TRACKER now utilizes the last number in the file TRACKER6.DAT to specify the maximum
number of lines that can be printed on your particular printer with your operating system.
Please feel free to use NOTEPAD or some other text file editor to change the last number of
this file if you find that you are having trouble with your printed output lining up properly
with the headings starting at the top of each page.

10.If you install TRACKER into the same directory as your WSJT programs, both can share the same
   CALL3.TXT file.
